ASP.NET MVC Developer
This is a 6 month contract position with likely extensions. You'll be working as an ASP.NET MVC developer and consultant.
You'll be working with me on a green field ASP.NET MVC project. We are using ASP.NET MVC 3, EF Code First, SQL Server 2008, dependency injection (Ninject), and ATDD and TDD (Specflow, Watin, NUnit, and Moq). If you've done some but not all of these things, we'll teach you the rest to fill in the gaps.
We use lean methods, so we work in small batches and only pull in work when the current task is completely done or we're blocked. We spend a lot of time getting the acceptance criteria just right before we build anything, so there are lots of small, just-in-time conversations with the product owner.
We have flexible hours and work remotely, but we get together online for designing and pair programming several days a week. This is done via web-cam/desktop-sharing pairing.
If you are an experienced ASP.NET MVC developer working within the United States, we'd love to hear from you.
You MUST have:
- 3+ years' experience as a professional .NET software developer
- Experience with ASP.NET MVC and related web technologies (such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, etc.)
- Experience with SQL Server and object-relational mappers (such as NHibernate, EF Code First, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
It would be a whole lot cooler if you also have:
- Degree from a four-year college or at least a couple recent and relevant Microsoft certifications
- Experience with agile software development practices (stories, Kanban boards, pair programming, etc.)
- Experience in an automated testing, continuous integration environment (such as SpecFlow, NUnit, Moq, MSBuild, AppHarbor, Team City, etc.)
- Experience with dependency injection tools (such as Ninject, Castle Windor, etc.)
- Experience with Git, GitHub, and AppHarbor
- Experience with AgileZen
